When one of our founders rescued an abandoned kitten from a Los Angeles dumpster, he and his wife were immediately faced with the hefty cost of unplanned veterinary bills. He knew there had to be a way for pet owners to afford the care their pets need. Finding Hobbs inspired Scratch, our next-generation lending platform—where transparency and simplicity are at the heart of the business.
